A Dell BladeCenter is a Dell server. Several servers are combined in the blade enclosures. This allows the strength of the Dell blade server to be optimally determined. The BladeCenter can be scaled, i.e. servers can be stacked on top of one another and next to one another, thus keeping the entire system compact without restricting computing capacity. The Dell blade servers are server computers which, reduced to the simplest and most essential, represent the main computer and the main interface of the IT network in your home office or your large company. Optimized for performance, the blade enclosures not only simply hold the individual computers, they also provide cooling and the necessary connection. The cooling of the individual computers in particular is efficiently regulated by the blade enclosures, as not only individually fans dissipate the heat generated by the electricity and the CPUs, but the enclosure itself contains a cooling system. Depending on the design, the cooling system can consist of fans with adjustable speeds or water cooling. The connection is established through an integrated Ethernet, Fiber Channel and Infiniband. Dell blade servers are delivered with a uniform set of chips and Dell memories within the same generation. This allows the same drivers to be used and makes buying and using accessories much easier.
