The EMC controllers are a software system for controlling storage servers from several vendors. This interconnects these storage servers to form a strong system. The EMC controller software takes over the automatic storage management in order to avoid unwanted and undesired duplication and to make frequently required data available to users quickly and efficiently. The software works with the cloud principle, so the connected computers are used as storage systems. As a system, the EMC controllers centralize data management and allow control according to the company's individual requirements. Since the computers themselves are used as storage systems here, different types from different companies can be combined into one huge system and controlled from one point. This saves costs because you can use an existing IT infrastructure that has grown over time. EMC controllers cannot become out of date, because their users can develop them further thanks to the open source principle and adapt them to the latest conditions and requirements. The EMC controller software can then easily be brought up to date by means of an update. This is especially efficient because you only need to download an update of the software instead of replacing entire hardware blocks. Not only does the software develop almost by itself in this way, the administration is also developed automatically internally, i.e. within the system. The system creates the necessary directories and thus facilitates access to the individual data.
